Contract Vehicles

Our primary contract vehicle is the Medical Q-Coded Series (MQS), a large indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle that consolidates all of the Department of Defense’s healthcare needs and bids. All other opportunities are currently sourced through internal research and government platforms.

The MQS contract is sponsored by the Defense Health Agency to give preference to the small businesses class. It’s a five-year IDIQ contract for small businesses like GiaCare. The contract provides “personal and nonpersonal medical services to supplement the medical staff at Department of Defense (DoD) military treatment facilities (MTF) with qualified healthcare workers (HCW) within 50 miles of the United States, District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico.

Physicians

These are primary and specialty care physicians who provide routine, preventive, and specialty healthcare services to clients.

A current GiaCare contract in this market segment is for pediatrician staffing services provided in support of General Pediatrics and the Exceptional Family Membership Program. This is a contract for Pediatricians in support of the Brooke Army Medical Center and eligible beneficiaries located at San Antonio Military Health System (SAMHS).

Nurses

Nurses include both licensed and registered nurses, as well as advanced practice nurses, practical nurses, and vocational nurses.

GiaCare has a multitude of current contracts within this market. One of which is for high-volume, full-time and pool registered nurse staffing services in support of the DoD’s only Level I Trauma Center. The contract is for approximately 300 FTE RNs, along with  an extensive network of PRNs to manage shift coverage and pool hours. Our RNs and PRNs cover a range of more than 30 unique units and specialties.

Our services on this contract also include COVID surge needs of up to 229 additional M/S, ICU, and emergency department RNs.  The contract is in support of the San Antonio Military Health System (SAMHS) and includes its associated MTFs and other branch clinics.

Ancillary

Ancillary healthcare workers are those that provide patient treatment or assist in the provision of patient treatment. Ancillary staff includes, but is not limited to:

  • Audiologists
  • Clinical lab personnel
  • Dieticians
  • Mid-levels
  • Occupational therapists
  • Pharmacists
  • Respiratory therapists
  • Speech pathologists
  • Radiology support
  • Clinical support staff

An important current GiaCare contract within this market segment is with the National Intrepid Center of Excellence (NICOE) and provides rehabilitation services in the highly competitive national capital region. Contract The contract encompasses numerous specialties, including NICOE assistive technology professionals in the neurosurgery and rehab departments, NICOE physical therapists and physical therapy assistants in the pediatric and rehab departments, NICOE occupational therapists and occupational therapy assistants in the rehab department, and NICOE recreational therapists in the pediatric department.

Our pulmonary respiratory therapist services include coverage and COVID surge needs for additional respiratory therapists. 

These services are performed at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and includes other supporting MTFs in the National Capital Region, including Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, DiLorenzo Clinic, Malcolm Grow Medical Center, and Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling Clinic.
